Steve A. Sayre 57, of rural Keosauqua died at 10:45 P.M. Sunday June 8, 2014 at his home. He was born October 15, 1956 in Keosauqua to David and Marjorie Crowe Sayre and married Nancy Ridgeway, they divorced.
Steve graduated from Van Buren Community High School, was a farmer, self-employed electrician and worked at Golden Furrow Fertilizer in Keosauqua. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and gathering with friends.
Surviving are three daughters, Trina Sayre of Keosauqua, Tonya Flynn (Chris) of Birmingham and Traci Doak (Phil) of Clive, eight grandchildren, his father and a sister, Rita Tedrow of Keosauqua. His mother preceded him in death.
His body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday June 12, 2014 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Kevin Mote, Minister officiating. Burial of cremains will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the former bath house in Lacey –Keosauqua State Park following the interment.
