A 30year old southeast Iowa man is facing numerous charges following a chase last Thursday night.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Department says shortly before 10:00 p.m. it received a report of a vehicle pursuit which ended in an accident with the suspect fleeing on foot. Emergency personnel from West Chester, First responders, Washington Police Department, Washington fire department and the Iowa State Patrol responding to the scene.
Officials searched the area with the assistance of K-9 dogs but were unable to locate the suspect. The Washington County Wireless emergency notification system was activated to warned area residents of the situation.
Friday morning shortly before 5:00 a.m. the suspect……..30 year old Joseph James jr. was located and taken into custody. He has been charged with driving under suspension, speeding, failure to obey stop signs, reckless driving, failure to maintain control and possession of a controlled substance.
He is being held in the Washington County jail.
