Pekin-EBF Baseball Moved to Pekin High (UPDATE)

The baseball teams from Pekin and Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont had hoped to meet on the field twice this summer in Eddyville, once in a midweek matchup and once in EBF’s tournament.  The tournament was rained out two weekends ago, but the two teams will still meet on Wednesday, in a game that will now be played at Pekin.

The June 18th matchup has undergone a couple of changes since the season began.  It was originally scheduled as a single game at EBF, but after the June 7th tournament was washed away by rain, the two schools agreed to add a second game.  This week, the decision was made to move the games to Pekin’s home diamond.  Tuesday night, however, the schedule was switched back to one JV game and one varsity game.

The varsity game will be broadcast on 101.5 Kiss FM, with first pitch scheduled for 7:30.
