Ottumwa man arrested in connection to shooting

A 40 year old Ottumwa man is facing numerous charges following his arrest by the Ottumwa Police Department.

Lt. Jason Bell says Adam Sean Horn of 433 North Market has been charged with Robbery in the 1st degree, and Burglary in the 1st degree. The charges are the result of an investigation conducted by the police department.

On October 14th, the Ottumwa Police Department received a report of a victim that had arrived at Ottumwa Regional Health Center with an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. The victim identified as 22 year old Shawna Patzel of Ottumwa who told police she had been accidentally shot at a house in Ottumwa.

Police initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. As a result of the investigation, it was determined the shooting took place at 209 North Sheridan.

On October 15th, officers issued arrest warrants for 23 year old Cassie Jo Polson for Burglary in the 1st degree, Robbery in the 1st degree and Reckless use of a firearm. She remains at large and has not been arrested on those charges.

On October 23rd police arrested 40 year old Adam Sean Horn of 433 North Market in relation to the incident. He has been charged with Robbery in the 1st degree, and Burglary in the 1st degree. He is being held in the Wapello County Jail.
