(Ottumwa)— When the Ottumwa City Council meets in regular session Tuesday evening at 6:30 in the council chamber of City Hall, The council will hold a public hearing on plans, specification, form of control and estimated cost for the Quincy Avenue Reconstruction project will run from Albia Road to Highway 34.
This project will consist of profile milling and an asphalt overlay of Quincy avenue.
Bids will be received and opened by the City on June 11th at 2:00 p.m. . The bid report and bid award recommendation will be presented to the City Council at it’s June 7th meeting.
Also during Tuesday’s meeting, the city council will consider a resolution approving the purchase of six Outdoor warning system sirens.
The city council in prior meetings has voted to update the outdoor warning system. There is enough money to update six units. The cost of each unit is the same as previous years, 6988-dollars per unit for a total cost of 41-thousand, 928-dollars which will be paid out of the 2013 Capital Improvement Program.
