Ottumwa Baseball Adds Game vs. #1 Twin Cedars

The Ottumwa High baseball team is no stranger to taking on tough opponents and beating them, as they already own wins over the #2 (Waukee) and #3 (Cedar Rapids Kennedy) teams in the state in Class 5A.  Now, the Bulldogs have accepted the challenge of taking on the state’s only undefeated squad.

OHS will travel west of Bussey on Tuesday, July 8, for a JV/varsity doubleheader at Class 1A #1 Twin Cedars.  The Sabers won twice on Friday to improve their season record to 25-0.

Both teams will be coming off games the previous day.  Ottumwa has a road doubleheader against Des Moines Roosevelt, while Twin Cedars has a game against a solid Pleasantville squad.

The JV game is scheduled for a 5:30 first pitch, while the varsity game should begin at 7:30 and can be heard on 1240 KBIZ.
