An Oskaloosa man is in jail after authorities say he brandished a gun in public.
Oskaloosa police were dispatched to the parking lot of Orscheln Farm and Home on Wednesday afternoon after being told a man pulled out a gun and aimed it at other people. Officers found a man matching the description of the suspect on the 300 block of 3rd Street.
44-year-old Joshua Todd was detained for questioning. Police say Todd did have a legally carried firearm on his person.
Authorities say their initial investigation revealed Todd and another person had a minor physical confrontation in the parking lot before Todd allegedly displayed the firearm.
Todd was arrested and charged with three counts of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. Todd was transported to the Mahaska County Jail. His bond has been set at $25,000.
