Malwood USA Selected As Iowa SBDC Business Of The Month


A business owned by an Iowa House Representative and former TV star has been selected as Iowa SBDC’s Business Of The Month.

According to a press release, the Iowa Small Business Development Center has announced that Malwood USA, of Ottumwa, is the winner of the organization’s statewide January Small Business of the Month Award. Cherielynn Westrich, former star of the car building reality TV show Overhaulin’, as well as current Iowa House Representative, is the owner of Malwood USA. She said she first had the idea for their primary product, the Hydraulic Clutch Pedal Kit, while she was attending a trade show in Australia. The product was previously only being manufactured and sold in Australia, but she received permission from the producer, Mal Wood, to modify and sell the product in the United States.Malwood USA sources all of their components from local manufacturers and performs light assembly to create the hydraulic clutch system.
