Liesa Kay Cloke was born on July 29, 1961, in Fort Wayne, IN to Delbert and Louise Wiegmann Hormann. She began her schooling in Davis County before moving to Eldon and graduating with the Cardinal High School Class of 1979. Her relationship with Frank Cloke began in high school and would continue for over 43 years. Together they became the proud parents of three children: Amanda, Samuel, and Shaylee. Liesa’s life was always in service. She was a loving wife and mother and worked several jobs that were in the service of others. She worked at taking classes while working other jobs and in 2003 graduated from Buena Vista University with a double major in Psychology and Social Work. It was a proud moment for her and her family. She worked for several years at Tanager Place caring for youth before taking a job with the State Department of Human Services in Social Work. Her caring heart made her perfect for this job. She cared deeply for the families that she served and was proud of her job. She was a member of the Social Worker’s Union and understood that the work she was doing made a difference. When she had time outside of work she loved to paint and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Liesa left behind a legacy that will be cherished and remembered by her family and her many friends.
Liesa was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lorraine Hormann and Luanne Roberts, and one sister-in-law, Bev Horman.
