ISU’s Hogue Named to All-East Region Team

Iowa State junior forward Dustin Hogue was named to the All-East Region team Sunday afternoon. The former Indian Hills standout joined Most Outstanding Player Shabazz Napier (UCONN), DeAndre Daniels (UCONN), Gary Harris (Michigan State) and Adreian Payne (Michigan State) on the team.

Hogue earned a spot on the team after scoring a career-high 34 points in the Cyclones’ East region semifinal loss to UCONN. The Yonkers, N.Y., native was 15-of-19 from the field and grabbed six rebounds in his return to his home state. He also grabbed a pair of steals.

Hogue’s 34 points tied an ISU tournament record, matching Dedric Willoughby and Lafester Rhodes.
