MORAVIA, IA – It was another impressive outing from the Indian Hills Men’s Golf squad Monday at The W at The Preserve on Rathbun Lake Golf Course as the Warriors out-shot the field by 20 strokes to capture their third title in as many tries this Fall with a 14-under par performance. Five of the seven IHCC golfers finished at the top of the individual leaderboard with Max Hartmann taking the title, finishing at five-under through the 36-hole tournament.
Cyril Henault and Harry Fearn tied for second at four-under, Thomas Burou took fourth at three-under, and Antoine Sale finished at two-under tying for fifth with Iowa Western golfer Jakob Falk. Jake Calhoun was the lone Warrior to finish outside the top-five, although he did tie the lowest round score in the second 18 with a 67, down 10 strokes from his first round 77, carding an even-par score. Blake Gadd finished 18th with a five-over score.
William Penn University was one of the other five schools participating at Monday’s tournament, as the Statesmen finished fifth in the team standings with a 598, 22-over par, performance. Spencer Tucker led William Penn with a one-over finish, placing him tied for 10th in the standings.
Indian Hills will return to the links next Monday, September 28, top open the two-day Zach Johnson Invitational at Drake University’s Glen Oaks Country Club. William Penn’s next outing will also begin Monday at the two-day National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Preview at TPC Deere Run Golf Course in Silvis, Illinois.
