KBIZ has contacted LT Jason Bell with the Ottumwa Police Department who told us that the police department is following up on several leads at this time, but there is no time frame for an arrest. Due to the nature of the ongoing investigation, LT Bell was unable to tell us what kind of weapon was used. We’ve also learned that surveillance cameras were in place and did capture the robbery.
Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a suspect who held up the Albia Road BP station in Ottumwa at approximately 2:30 Tuesday morning. The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s. He left the area on bicycle headed east on Albia Rd. Police say that a weapon was displayed during the robbery. No arrest have been made at this time.
