Fire in Centerville damages to buildings

An investigation is under way in Centerville to determine the cause of a fire that broke out shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturdaymorning.

The fire occurred at a building at the intersection of Main and Maple Streets.  Despite the efforts of area firefighters, two buildings were destroyed in the blaze.

Fire investigators say they believe the fire started on the first floor of one of the buildings.  Firemen were able to keep the large fire from spreading to a third building.

Firemen remained on the scene until late Saturday afternoon. There were no injuries.
