OTTUMWA — Donations are now being accepted for the 37th Community College Foundation Scholarship Auction. Individuals and businesses may donate new and gently-used items and qualify for a tax deduction. Items may include vehicles, gift certificates, appliances, furniture, antiques, tools, lawn furniture, garden equipment, boats, computers, office equipment, campers and outdoor gear, household things, sporting goods and many other items. Donations received by April 9 will be listed in the detailed auction advertisement.
The auction will be held on Saturday, April 26, at the North Campus located at the Ottumwa Industrial Airport. Doors will open at 9 a.m. and the auction will begin at 10 a.m. This event is held each year to raise money for scholarships for students enrolled in classes at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Centerville and the college’s eight county service centers. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation making donations tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
