A fatal crash happened on State Highway 149 this morning, near North English. The Iowa State Patrol says that Nathan Fisher, 20 of Keswick, IA was killed when his ’01 Chevy pickup failed to stop at the stop sign for HWY 149 and 110th street. His pickup was struck on the drivers side by a ’13 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Kimiberly Hernandez, 30 of North English, IA. The report also says that Hernandez was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals after her SUV rolled and came to a rest on its roof. Fisher was not wearing his seat belt.
The Iowa State Patrol is continuing to investigate, assisted by the Keokuk County Sheriff Office.
