The Ottumwa Regional Legacy Foundation will soon begin accepting applications for its Bright Ideas Grant.
According to a press release, the 27th funding cycle for the Bright Ideas Community Enrichment Fund is set to begin on June 1st. The Bright Ideas Grant program offers unique funding opportunities for nonprofits in Wapello County, to assist with new programs, expand current ones, and buy or repair crucial equipment.
“The Legacy Foundation, and in turn, the Bright Ideas program, has always tried to be responsive to the needs of our nonprofit community,” said Amy Nossaman, Grants program manager
Assistance with general operating expenses related to COVID-19 is one of the several types of grant support being offered through this grant cycle. Over the past 10 years, the Bright Ideas Community Enrichment Fund has invested more than $3.7 million into Wapello County. The grant is open to any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operating or providing services in Wapello County. Awards range from $2,500 to $30,000, with priority given to programs or projects of high need or high impact for the community.
The summer grant cycle begins on June 1, with a deadline for applications of June 30 at 5:00 p.m. Grant information, eligibility requirements and online applications can be found at www.orlf.org.
