Area All-State Softball Players

The 2014 All-State softball teams announced this week by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union included 16 players from area schools.  Ottumwa, Fairfield and Oskaloosa all placed three athletes on all-state rosters this year.  Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont counted two all-staters on its roster, while Albia, Cardinal, Moravia, Sigourney and Twin Cedars had one all-state player each.

Ottumwa – Kassidi Henderson, Ashlyn Thompson (2nd team), Alexis Winn (3rd team)

CLASS 4A

Fairfield – Sydney Burnett (1st team), Marisa Repp (2nd team), Kenady Waugh (3rd team)

Oskaloosa – Alexis Groet (1st team), Callie Arnold (2nd team), Kelsie Tomlin (3rd team)

Albia – Sydney Weldon (1st team)

CLASS 2A

Cardinal – Lindsay Davis (3rd team)
