Appanoose County has reported its fourth confirmed case of COVID-19 which has led to their third death, according to County Public Health officials.
According to a press release from Appanoose County Public Health and ADLM Counties Emergency Management, a fourth person in the county has been confirmed to have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. The person in question was a female between the age of 61 and 80, and has since passed away due in part to complications from the infection. Contact tracing is being done to identify anyone who may have been in contact with the deceased.
The Appanoose County Health Department acknowledges the difficult times many in the community are experiencing, and urges residents to remain vigilant and supportive as they work together to slow the spread of the virus.
